This was a holiday find when we were in Spain last year, a wine made from 200 year old pre phylloxera Verdejo vines in Segovia.  It tasted superb whilst there so I had to find some when I returned to the UK.  And I can report that it tastes superb here as well.  Owned by the top quality Alma Carraovejas group, this is almost Burgundian in style - crisp and silky with lovely weight and mouthfeel, complexity, balance and great length.  I prefer it to their top wine, Capitel, which is double the price.  Barrel fermented, there's a lovely soft creamy texture to the wine with beautiful fresh stone fruit, citrus, minerals, subtle spice and honey.  Seriously good and worth grabbing yourselves a few bottles.
