generally too punchy for my palate - but this is Monastrell with a difference and probably my biggest (positive) wine surprise recently.  La Servil is 96% Monastrell with the other 4% made up of indigenous varieties that, I'll be honest, I've never come across.  Deep ruby in colour with a lovely nose, lots of complexity and notes of wild strawberries, dark berries, vanilla, meat, leather, mushroom, balsamic, flowers and herbs.  Yes, loads going on!  This is followed by a lovely silky mouthfeel with fresh fruits - also a winemaker and ex Plumpton tutor - is now on board and their wines go from strength to strength. \u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTWD 2020 is the new release of their most popular wine, disgorged in early January 2024 and a blend exactly representative of their vineyards which are planted 60% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir.  The 2019 is from three vineyards -
