I first came across Pierre Peters when their Champagnes were recommended to me whilst in a wine shop in Epernay.  I bought a couple of bottles, along with a few other things, and was thoroughly impressed so we're delighted to now be stocking some of their wines.  They are regarded as one of the finest growers in the region and the domaine is now run by Rodolphe Peters who is continuing the family tradition of minimal intervention in both the vineyards and the winery.  The Cuvee de Reserve is a Blanc de Blancs, so 100% Chardonnay, as all of their Champagnes are and is pale in colour with a very fine mousse & a nose of white fruits, subtle citrus and flint.  The palate is lean and crisp initially, really focused and minerally with mouth watering acidity, followed by notes of citrus, apple, melon and hazlenuts.  It is racy, complex, elegant and refined, and it's easy to see why these fine Champagnes are so sought after.
