We haven't got an orange wine section so we've stuck this with the whites but, hey, who's judging? This is Bedoba's skin contact orange wine, made using the same varieties that go into their excellent white, fermented in both traditional qvevri and stainless steel before blending. It's a true gastronomic wine - that is, it shows it's best paired with the right food (spicy food and fried chicken seems to work best) - and is packed with apricot, quince, honey, orange peel and herbs. Very textural and mouth filling but well balanced and bright acidity keeps it from being cloying. Bone dry despite the sweet fruit and long, it's very complex and really interesting. Another top wine from Bedoba.
