This is a firm favourite in our household, being consistently stunning, and we can't believe that this sits a little under the radar. I think people still associate it with Piper Heidsieck (which is part of the same group but, again, that's a great drop these days). The Charles Heidsieck Brut Reserve is a step above though, oozing class with its ultra fine mousse, creamy, pastry like texture, balanced with freshness from the citrus, apple and peach notes. Every time we serve this, friends comment how delicious it is and, if you want a top class Champagne without going too overboard, look no further.
