One of the cult producers of the Ribera, the wines of Pago de los Capellanes are stunning across the board and this, their Joven, is the introduction to their range.  And you get a lot of quality for your money here - bright forest fruit aromas on the nose along with vanilla and floral hints.  The palate is lush and velvety with nice freshness and plenty of red and black fruit.  There are also hints of sweet spice, subtle oak and cedar.  Fine tannins, good acidity, balanced and very well made.  You can't really go wrong here.  Lovely.
