One of Portugal's finest wines, made in tiny quantities (4000 bottles each year) by Luis Sottomayor, who also makes the fabled Barca Velha.  The grapes are sourced from a small plot of 100+ year old pre-phylloxera vines and 25 different varieties have been identified.  The vines are so low yielding that each produces just one or two bunches of grapes and the result is a wine of great intensity and complexity, whilst maintaining good acidity and freshness.  Intensely aromatic with ripe black fruits, floral and herbal nuances and well integrated spicy notes from the oak, the wine has cashmere like tannins, a silky mouth feel and an outstanding length of finish.  Truly a try before you die type of wine.
