Ferrum is the latest release in the superb range of Crystallum wines from Peter-Allan Finlayson. And what a wine! A touch richer than their excellent Clay Shales, this shares some of the same traits - elegance, freshness, balance, complexity and length. Richly textured with mouth watering acidity and packed with lemon curd, lime, mango and cream, as well as a subtle smokiness, this is what great Chardonnay is all about. I can't decide which of the two Chardonnays I like best - both stunning.
