Another sublime wine from Jim Chatto, this time from the Isle Vineyard in the Huon Valley.  A tiny production, with just 2600 bottles produced in this vintage, the wine again showcases the best of Pinot Noir, balancing bright pure fruit with savoury elements that make the grape so beguiling.  It has lovely bright raspberry, cherry, plum and rhubarb notes on both the nose and palate, along with spice and a touch of smoke.  It's juicy and silky with fresh acidity and fine tannins, a lovely mouthfeel and with those savoury notes adding balance.  Very fine indeed with a persistent finish and the overwhelming urge to just go back in for more.  A winemaker at the top of his game and highly recommended for lovers of fine Pinot Noir.
