This is one of our go to whites that I think gets better each vintage, as well as better once left in the bottle for 2-3 years.  It's always a crisp Chardonnay when first released with more than a whiff of gun smoke, citrus laden fruit, mouth watering acidity and a mineral streak running through it.  But let it develop in bottle and you start to see more tropical notes coming through along with vanilla and hazelnuts.  The acidity, although still high, becomes more balanced and integrated and everything sits more in harmony.  That's not to say it isn't lovely when first released, it's just from our experience, it's a more complete wine with that bit of time in bottle.  You can age for up to 10 years but I think the sweet spot to drink is 2-5 from release.  The 2023 vintage is rated highly as always and is a stunner.
