Named as one of wine writer Matthew Jukes' Top 100 Australian wines, this is probably the best quality/price wine in the list.  From a single vineyard of old vines in the McLaren Vale, for the money, it truly is a bargain as it's simply a lovely bottle of wine.  Inviting on the nose, fresh and aromatic, the velvety palate reveals good levels of pure, fresh fruit - mulberry, plum, blueberry and blackberry.  Complement this lovely fruit with liquorice, peppery spice, violets, cocoa, subtle oak, soft tannins and juicy acidity, and you've got the lot!  It's really soft and silky but with enough depth and subtle nuances to keep even wine enthusiasts interested, and the length of finish for a bottle of this price is incredible - always a sign of quality in my book.  We enjoyed over two evenings and it was even better the second night.  A bargain.
