Framingham produce some really cracking wines - their old vine Riesling is superb - and this Noble Riesling is exceptional as well.  Grapes come from an organically farmed single vineyard close to the Wairau River and these are gently managed to let nature do its work with the growth of botrytis.  The aim is for a beerenauslese style and this results in vibrant aromas of orange, apricot, marmalade and lemon curd.  The palate is rich and concentrated with stone fruit, citrus and marmalade to the fore, held together with bright acidity and an intense finish.  Lovely.
