We have a small parcel of this fabulous Viognier that is made by a superb producer in Beaujolais - the only Viognier to be produced in the region as far as we are aware. Made in tiny quantities, it's a truly excellent wine and one we came across whilst enjoying lunch in a top London restaurant. Crisp and minerally with the hallmark peach and apricot fruit, a subtle creamy texture and amazing balance & length of flavour, it makes some sense to produce Viognier here given that it's not far from the Rhone. It's from a seriously good small producer, worth seeking out.
