Based in the Marne Valley, with 6 hectares of old vines, Lamiable is a new name to us but we've been thoroughly impressed with their offerings.  This is on the lighter side of the spectrum so a perfect aperitif Champagne and this is just wonderful.  Both on the nose and palate, there is an abundance of light red fruit - wild strawberry, red apple, cherry and cranberry.  But there's more than just the fruit with hints of Bakewell tart, spice and a hint of cream alongside minerals and zippy acidity.  It really hits the spot and something we'll be drinking a lot more of.
