Magna Montis was founded by ex sommelier Martin Dicuzzo, who uses his extensive contact list to source fruit from some of the best sites in the region. The growers they work with focus on organic practices and the winemaking is very hands off, low intervention and natural. The resulting wines are terroir driven, polished and notable for their freshness and balance. This Cabernet Franc is a case in point - beautifully pure bramble fruit with hints of tobacco and spice, velvety tannins and fresh acidity. Given the high quality, the price point makes this a bargain as you can enjoy now or let develop in bottle for a few years. A smart operation and one to watch.
