We opened a bottle of this to try recently and it was one of the most enjoyable wines we've had this year.  In fact, it was so drinkable that it disappeared in no time at all and, for the price, it is an absolute steal.  Made from Nerello Mascalese, organic, it would appeal to drinkers that like Nebbiolo and Pinot Noir.  Light in colour, it's packed with vibrant red fruits - cherry and strawberry to the fore - along with minerals (from the volcanic soils), smoke, savoury, bay leaf and spice.  It is really complex with bright balanced acidity, freshness, silkiness, harmony and a tiny bit of grip on the finish, and so, so drinkable.  And whilst it is brilliant now, it does have the structure to improve further.  You can cool it too, making it a great all rounder - summer, autumn, winter, spring.  One of our finds of the year.
