Quintodecimo is the estate owned by renowned Oenology professor Luigi Moio and his wife Laura.  Given Luigi's academic specialism in the chemistry of wine aromatics, they make some of Campania's greatest wines - elegant and expressive versions using indigenous varieties.  This Falanghina is probably our favourite of the excellent line up - showing aromas of apples, pineapple and wildflowers.  The palate is crisp and elegant with lovely purity of fruit and a mineral core running through the wine.  There are also subtle hints of melon, apricot, mango, honey and salinity.  These are not loud, showy wines - they are defined by their nuance, elegance and complexity - and we are delighted to add them to our list.  If you're in the know, you know!
