Chenin Blanc / 13.5% / organic

This wine is part of a new project involving wine importer Ben Henshaw, wine writer Jamie Goode, Zalto glass importer Daniel Primack, and esteemed winemaker Eulogio Pomares.  Their focus is on terroir driven wines from various regions - they call the project the salt of the earth range - and this means factors other than rich fruit coming into play - so minerality, acidity, salinity and texture.  This Chenin Blanc, from a single dry farmed old vineyard near False Bay, is full of fresh green apples, grapefruit, lime and quince, really crisp and vibrant with that mineral edge running through and a tangy finish.  Balanced, complex, long and textural, it certainly hits the brief and is another cracker in this excellent range.
