Susana Balbo is one of Argentina's top winemakers and she has been producing wonderful wines for some years now. Brioso is Susana's top Bordeaux blend (of the two Cabernets, Malbec & Petit Verdot) and, whilst a touch richer than claret, is a silky, sumptuous wine full of dark berries, plum, sweet spice and tobacco. The tannins are very refined and the acidity gives the wine a freshness and balance that seems to be a hallmark of all of Susana's wines. Whilst drinking superbly now, this is a wine that can be cellared for up to 20 years. Truly excellent.
