Wow, what a stunning wine! The Georg Breuer estate was founded in 1880 by Peter Breuer and it is now run by highly regarded great granddaughter Theresa who has introduced organic principles into the vineyards. The wines have reached a new level under her stewardship and this is a bone dry beauty, full of crystalline lime and lemon, apple, peach, honey, minerals and kerosene. It is wonderful on the palate, vibrant, complex, balanced and really long on the finish - stunning. It's the jewel in their portfolio, made from a selection of the best barrels from their top vineyard, and capable of ageing for many years. A must for any serious Riesling collector.
