We are fortunate to have received a tiny parcel of this very hard to find single vineyard Chenin Blanc, made by Mark and Martial Angeli. We enjoyed a bottle recently with friends and it's off the charts brilliant, and I can't wait to see how the bottles I've now put into our personal cellar develop. The purity of fruit is wonderful - lemon curd, mango, apricot to name a few - with vibrant acidity, a mineral edge, creaminess and a subtly honeyed finish. Textural, complex, balanced, delicious now and will get even better, this is how world class Chenin Blanc should be. Sometimes you've got to believe the hype!
